It’s simply too much!
Over the past year or so I have realised something. No matter whether one can afford something or not, there is a ceiling to the amount one might pay for something. There are some shameless prices out there for goods and services.
Example: There is a pizza place off Brick Lane, it’s an “organic pizza place” [...]
My own little bus revolution
As we approach hopelessly, yet again into a Tube strike, yielding yet again to Bob Crow and his bunch of overpaid croanies, I felt it important to talk about my new London Transport love. The common bus.
I’ve used the buses for a few years in preference to getting on the Tube. I did rib a [...]
Faceball
The web is a fantastic place, anything goes. “If you blink you might miss it” as the overused quote goes.
Recently I have noticed something about which has been developed, again, by our friends over at Flickr. This development comes in the form of an office game called Faceball, if, like me, you work in a [...]
China bans reincarnation
I can’t believe this story:
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2007/08/29/reincarnation_ban/
There is something very very wrong with the Chinese government wanting Tibetan Buddhist monks to get permission for reincarnation. But I’m not here with a message of “free Tibet”, I’m more intrigued how they’d enforce this. Reincarnation police? Easiest job ever! Maybe I’m missing a point here.
Me biscuit’s fallen in me brew
I have decided to try and revive 4pm tea in a personal revolution. Today has been no exception so I dutifully made my way to the kitchen to boil the kettle. On the way back I noticed a few biscuits so decided to grab a couple for the full English effect. Oh how stupid. I [...]
Alerific
In the last few years, as I go from being a man to a grumpy old man. I’ve realised my tastes are changing rapidly. I’ve never really cared for beer that much. Wine, I have to admit, is ok. But it’s never been the drink of the Gods that a lot of people claim, “it’s [...]
Schooooool Dinners
As I walked to lunch today, I passed a McDonalds. I saw a queue of school kids getting their daily fix and a proud looking school girl walk out with her big mac, or happy meal, or whatever it was.
I have to say, before the rant starts. I’m not going to complain about the state [...]
Seats upright and shutters up please
I always try and learn something new. And today, I found out exactly why you can’t use your electronic equipment during aircraft take off and landing, and also why you have to have seats in upright and shutters open.
On reading comments here I read:
You can use a whole host of electronic equipment on an aircraft [...]
A new thing
Well here it is, my first blog post. Well, not my first as I have been contributing to www.wouldyouliketoknowmore.net for a while. But this is my own, personal blog, will I update it regularly? I have no idea, let’s see. In the meantime, welcome.
